Snotty noses...the truth.

Little C had a doctor appointment on Monday complete with immunizations. This coupled with his molar popping through has given him a yucky nose. I am over using tissues as they rip when he opens his mouth for some reason. Why he licks the tissue I may never know!
I have a bag if flannel triangles that I cut out over 15 years ago for a blanket. Since I am never going to actually make the blanket I decided to use them in a new way.  I just took them and surged the edges into double sided triangles, squares and a rectangle to figure out what sizes work the best for us. I must like the triangles the best as I have used them all already. We will see how they wash up as they are in the washing machine now.

I also made a little bucket for them out of polar fleece. If you have even seen my little "hot tots" hats the bucket will look rather familiar!

When I posted the little tissues on Facebook my running friends inspired me to make up something a bit bigger and to serve a similar but different purpose. The "running hanky" was born! Two different sizes with fold over elastic bracelets sewn on. I will be running this weekend with my Galloway group and 2 buddies will be testing out these new designs! Kinda exciting right!? Okay maybe not so much but hopefully they will help contain all of the not so pleasant icky things that happen when we play outside.

Happy day! Have a wonderful weekend and I am sure you will hear from me soon!
